Hi, I'm Jennifer.
Some of my happiest moments are spent wandering through nature. I'm usually the one who lingers behind, stopping to admire a wildflower, photograph a beautiful landscape, or marvel at the intricate details that others might walk right past. Those quiet moments have taught me to slow down, appreciate the beauty around me, and find joy in life's smallest details.
Over time, my appreciation for nature grew into a deep respect for the remarkable botanicals it provides. What began as simple curiosity slowly grew into something much more - and eventually became the inspiration behind Soapinessence.
But my journey into skincare didn't begin there.
For years, I struggled with sensitive, acne-prone skin. Like many others, I searched for products that would help, only to find that many left my skin feeling even more irritated. I wanted skincare I could feel good about using every day, and I found myself wondering if there was a better way.
That search led me somewhere I never expected.
As I began learning about botanicals, plant oils, natural butters, herbs, and essential oils, I discovered something that deeply resonated with me. The more I learned, the more familiar it all began to feel.
Looking back, I realize I wasn't discovering something entirely new. The more I learned, the more it felt like I was reconnecting with a part of myself that had been there all along. My grandmother had a deep knowledge of herbs, and my mother understood the remarkable benefits of essential oils. Somewhere along the way, I realized my appreciation for nature had deeper roots than I ever imagined.
Over the years, I immersed myself in the science and artistry behind handcrafted skincare, investing in formal education while refining my craft through hands-on experience. Becoming an Advanced Certified Soapmaker was one milestone along that journey, but my passion for learning continues to shape every formula I create.
What began as a personal search for better skincare gradually grew into Soapinessence.
As my passion continued to grow, it naturally expanded into SWAGGA For Men - a handcrafted grooming collection built on the same philosophy of thoughtfully selected botanical ingredients, quality craftsmanship, and products created with purpose.
Today, every soap, cream, wellness product, and grooming item is handcrafted by me in small batches with the same care and attention I would give to my own family. Every ingredient is intentionally chosen, every formula thoughtfully refined, and every product reflects my belief that skincare should be both effective and enjoyable.
But Soapinessence is about more than skincare.
It's about slowing down.
It's about finding beauty in the everyday.
It's about noticing the little things that often go unseen.
It's about creating small moments of peace in a busy world.
My hope is that every Soapinessence product brings a little of that peace into your day. Whether it's the comforting scent of lavender, the soothing touch of aloe, or the richness of nourishing botanicals, I hope each product encourages you to pause, take a deep breath, and enjoy the simple beauty that surrounds us.
